I'm interested in some things that nobody/ very few people care about or like, sometimes I will talk about it here.

https://www.kongregate.com/games/lanbing/legend-of-casey-dragon

So there's this game called Legend of Casey Dragon. It's a total anomaly to me. It feels like, straight out of a 2000's action comedy or something. It even has an animated 3d cut scene at the beginning, adding to that feeling. The music isn't too bad either??? Some tracks are very soothing, others exciting. Other than being in .wav, it's okay.

It's a beat-em-up. Although it is pretty repetitive in its combat. And there's no way to dodge attacks. All the stages are a single file. I think it could have potential if there was a bit more variety.

But there's clearly some effort in this game, and something about it just feels like it's meant to be part of something bigger? There's got to be some story, there was an animated cut-scene in the beginning with Chinese captions, the five player characters are distinct enough, there's mostly original artwork... I think some of it is taken from Maple Story...

The link is to Kongeregate, but the original publisher, 4463, their website is down. That website published a bunch of what I can only describe as bootleg games, much of which aren't that great (shocker, I know). But as far as I know this is an original concept. Unless it's a bootleg of something obscure from China. If it is please tell me. I'm so curious.

you know, if any of the 1,769 plays wanna say anything :P also if anyone knows how to get the music that'd be nice

i already know this game has no presence on this site or in general but i wanna talk about it :P

It's a 2010 DSi-ware Mon game from Gameloft. It was 500 points so like, 5 dollars? i played it on 3DS though.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crystal_Monsters the reviews on this article call it a Pokemon rip off, a default statement for any Mon game nowadays. >:( honestly this game could have benefited from copying more from Pokemon.

The gameplay involves pressing at the right time but it's like, the same for every move, if they even have it. Like they should have gone further with it, at least have different types of moves have different action commands.

but really this game is programmed poorly, sooooo many glaring issues that couldn't take more than a day to fix. defensive moves don't work. anything ending in tab doesn't work. the movement is super janky, simply getting to a save space is a struggle at times. you can use an item to escape the final boss without having to fight it and win. and you can't fully complete the encyclopedia because the game doesn't save after the final boss.

also, there are these supreme monsters you can get by breeding certain monsters, and breeding them will get extreme monsters. if you get even one of these monsters, you win the game

metaphorically speaking

because they are overpowered, in ALL stats, it's kind of ridiculous

anyway this game is really dumb but i beat it twice. i like the monsters. oh yeah and there's a story i guess.
